Get GIS Data
The Lower Platte North NRD makes its GIS data available for use by farmers, landowners, local government, and other interested parties. Data is available in several different formats:
NRD MapMaker
Many of the LPNNRD's coverages are available on the NRD MapMaker site, which allows users to build custom maps in their web browser. Go here for more information.
GIS Data Sampler CD
Interested in seeing what GIS coverages the district has in its database? For $10.00 you can purchase the LPNNRD GIS Sampler on CD-ROM. The CD contains a freeware GIS data browser called ArcExplorer, a representative sample of acquired GIS coverages for the NRD and Nebraska, and ready-to-load projects. Get familiar with the district and GIS at the same time with this easy to use program!
Hardcopy Map Requests
Need an aerial photo to register your water well? The LPNNRD currently has district-wide coverage of photo-based Digital Ortho Quarter Quadrangles (DOQQs -- see example below). Printouts of maps are available upon request. The first three maps per customer are free for sizes up to 11" x 17"; additional copies are $1.00 each. Larger maps (printed on the district's plotter) are $15 each.
FTP Site
GIS data, as well as scripts, extensions, etc., can be made available upon request from the district's FTP site. Your requested data will be uploaded to the FTP site and you will be given instructions for accessing it.
