Classroom Presentations
Upon request, Lower Platte North NRD staff will make classroom presentations for any grade level. The presentations can focus on water, wildlife, forestry, land treatment, or other issues relating to the NRD’s mission. A groundwater flow model is available to demonstrate various groundwater principles. Field trips to Czechland Lake or other district facilities can also be arranged. Teacher Workshops
The Lower Platte North NRD can conduct workshops to train educators in several natural resources and environmental education curriculums, including Project WET, Project WILD, and Project Learning Tree. These programs focus on hands-on, multidisciplinary activities dealing with natural resources and the environment.
Clint Johannes Education Building
The building, located on the East side of Lake Wanahoo NRD Recreation Area, is available to rent for education programs, youth events and youth group meetings. Special rates and rental times are offered during these types of events. Please contact us for pricing and rental options.
